It is about that time for an update.  Since the last one, I enterred the Adventure Pursuit Triathlon at North Bend and managed to complete it.  I was pumped; even more pumped when I got second.  However, my sense of achievement was squashed slightly when the 1st place guy did the race in 1 hour 45 minutes... it took me 2 hours 20 minutes.

After that it was back to class for 6 weeks during which time a few things happenned.  Top sorrow is Jessica's grandmother passed away.  It has been very rough on her and her family so keep them in your prayers.  Jess's Bday occurred Aug 5!  WOO!  the big 2-3!  Was a blast.  I love you, Jess!

End of August, I came back to DuPont and went back to the work that I was still not complete and probably will never get there... oh well.  Same stress as before...

All in all this fall has been pretty difficult.  Not just work; life in general.  Keep me in your prayers as well.

I think it's time to let you all know what has been happenning since the last update. Jess & I have gotten a lot closer and our relationship is the best thing that's happenned to me. I am thankful that God put her in my life. It is nice to be with someone that I can talk openly about my faith with and who has common goals and beliefs as I do. I know that I have a hard time really letting people know what's on my heart, but I am working on it. She makes me want to and strive to be a better person. I know that may sound cliche, but oh well, deal with it.

This past weekend was Mid-Ohio Valley Boys Chrysalis Flight #5. Chrysalis is a study program weekend set to help adolescents mature in their Christianity. I had the great honor to work on the Chrysalis team with these youths and also give a talk to them. I talked to them about the story of the Prodigal and told them how I have also stumbled like a certain character in that story. The only word I can use to describe the whole weekend is amazing. It is truly a humbling experience to see God working and watching people fully accept christ into their heart. I helped be on the giving end of Communion for the first time; that also was very humbling. God is awesome.

oops... got a few days wrong the first time... editting needed

This past weekend was awesome!  Thanks everybody for all the birthday wishes!  They made me smile. Friday night, Jess and I had our movie night, which was a complete blast!  Jess got me this really cool Scrat toy; it throws a fit when you take the nut away from it.  For some reason, she decided that getting it for me might have been a mistake...  We went to PHS graduation on Saturday.  Felt kind of weird seeing my sophomores walk across the stage.  On Sunday, I had my b-day party where most of my family came including my brother!  And I managed to talk Jess into coming out too!  My b-day party went well, and later, Jess and I went to her grandpa and grandma's for a cookout.

Yesterday was my b-day, the big 2-0...  I went riding with my good buddy Eric for a good part of the day and had a blast until I broke the kick shaft and the kick starter fell off... I had to be towed up a hill so I could bump start it to ride it out of the 'holler' I was in.  After I got my bike home; I went over to Jess's dad's to help get their pool ready... progress was slow.

Anyway, I hope that everyone is doing great, and I will be keeping you in my prayers.

It has been such a long time since I have updated and so much has happenned to me.  Let's just say there has been good and bad happen to me, but the good outweighs the bad.  God really got ahold of me this year and gave me a good swift kick in the butt.  First, my church volunteered me to be the youth leader and sunday school teacher for the youth, which has probably been the most awesome thing I have ever done.  Next, I received a call from an old acquaintance from Chrysalis and was asked by him to help out at the next Chrysalis.  I will also be talking about the... I'll wait until after Chrysalis to tell.  Holy cow!  I was also blessed by having the best co-op coordinator ever.  I went over to his, John's, home for a co-op dinner one night and discoverred that his family was very active with their church.  John's wife, Sherri, and I began discussing Bible Studies and church groups, and she invited me to attend a Bible Study that they were leading at their church.  I was a little hesitant to go, but I went anyway and had a great time!  I have made some pretty awesome friends as a result.  There's one girl that I have been keeping in my prayers.  She's made some mistakes (who hasn't?) and is probably one of the most amazing people that I have ever met.  She has been an inspiration to me by how she has turned her life to God.  I am always amazed how God can turn people's lives around if the person is willing.

Update time.

I am not going back to Morgantown until next January because I am currently doing a co-op at DuPont in Parkersburg and making money.  It's a bit lonely down here, so I'll have to be making some visits to Morgantown.  However, if anybody would want to visit me, that would be awesome too.  I love company.

I'm out
